Aggrieved Tun Dr Mahathir urges Ku Li to challenge Abdullah Ahmad Badawi!

Tun Dr Mahathir aggrieved with the political situation urges Ku Li to the rescue!

Ku Li can engage the Malay opposition when facing common enemies!

Hey people!
My deep cover source in Pak Lah’s camp confirmed that this prime minister is feeling it so bad already to realize that his one wish to resign will not and can never be achieved, but unless he “drops” dead!
“He is so, so afraid of his inner circle that he cannot even dare to utter the word resign,” this source said. I was also told that when he found out Ku Li was going to mount a challenge him at the next Umno elections he started to wheeze.
Other reliable source also told me it was Tun Mahathir who prompted Ku Li to mount a challenge on Dollah Badawi in view of the critical last general elections that saw BN component parties, which includes Umno, being defeated so bad that it prompted Ku Li to say, as quoted by the NST: “Haven’t Umno members realised we’ve lost five states? Are they all still sleeping.”
Then Mahathir had met with Ku Li and it was then decided that the latter must challenge Dollah to save Umno and Malays from falling over into a political oblivion.
Ku Li’s camp said the post of the deputy president will not be touched as it will belong to Najib for sure!
In view of this recent development, in supporting Ku Li, I have now decided to forgive Mahathir for his major faux pas in choosing Dollah Badawi as his deputy that have lead the country into a political turmoil where DAP has now the power to even ridicule the Malay sultanate system!
A bit of a cheers today.

This is from another blogger “The Malaysian” whose comments on our news is always a gem.
Adnan should have bagged his bags long ago, his nomination for Putrajaya was in doubt. He got in and his tourism ministry was pulled out from him. This doubtful Tengku, would have been a has been as an ordinary MP and possibly this could have been his last term in service. But the Gods smiled on him, Radzi resigned and he was given the breath of life, by Badawi. He was a prominent player in the V.K.Lingam, that could have been the reason he was side tracked, only Badawi knows.
The only good point here is he did not accuse the opposition they were drunk, his favourite way of defending himself. In him I see an Alcohol Detector par excellence.

BN Defectors. Worried Umno To Engage In ‘Intelligence’ Gathering!

from THE MALAYSIAN by The Malaysian.

Umno will send out its members to gather intelligence on the Opposition’s claims that some Barisan Nasional representatives are “crossing over”.

The party’s new secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor however warned the Opposition not to be “stupid enough” to try such a stunt.

“We have heard talk but we don’t know for sure whether there are such attempts. As the newly appointed Umno secretary-general, I will send out our intelligence people to go to the ground and find out whether there is any truth to such claims.

“Our MPs and assemblymen know that BN and Umno are the only coalition and party for them,” he told reporters.

Tengku Adnan was commenting on reports quoting Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as saying that the party welcomed any Barisan assemblyman or MP wishing to cross over. Anwar had also said that he had met several Barisan leaders during his visit to Sabah and Sarawak.

Tengku Adnan said if there were such attempts by the Opposition, then it only meant that they were trying to take advantage of the apparently “gloomy outlook” for the coalition. “But it is not a gloomy outlook for us. Our calculations show that Barisan still managed to garner some 51.2% of the votes.

“That means both Barisan and Umno are still relevant,” he said.

Tengku Adnan said Barisan would focus on recapturing the five states – Kedah Penang, Perak, Selangor and Kelantan – as well as the seats in the Federal Territory that were lost to the Opposition in the recent general election.

“Maybe our component partners have been weak in these states or that there was infighting within the Umno divisions. We will conduct an in-depth analysis of all these places,” he said, adding that the coalition has to come up with different approaches to reclaim the states lost. We have to start working immediately,” he said.

On the spate of resignations by Umno leaders, particularly that of former Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo as Selangor Umno and BN chairman, Tengku Adnan said they should realise that the party’s interests should come above all and that they should instead work harder.

Asked if a lack of a Cabinet post would hinder his job as secretary-general, as hinted by his predecessor Datuk Seri Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad, Tengku Adnan said he would leave it to the Prime Minister to decide on the matter. (The Star)

***** First of all Adnan should be glad that he has been appointed sec-gen. After the Lingam-gate fiasco one would have thought that he would be considered a huge liability and sent out to pasture. Thanks to Radzi’s resignation, Adnan has been given a toehold to build up from.

If Umno is really not concerned about defections, why say that they will send out their members to gather intelligence? It’s because they simply cannot trust the crooks in their own coalition especially the ‘frogs’ in Sabah and the aggrieved ones all over the country.

It is laughable for Adnan to say that Barisan would ‘focus on recapturing the five states’. BN should instead focus on remaining relevant and staying intact at least over the next few months. Even a formidable giant like Umno would rapidly disintegrate if a meltdown starts and there is every indication that the conditions for that is now optimal. History is replete with examples of stronger entities than Umno biting the dust when their intolerable ways became too much to stomach.
