Now that the Prime Minister has all the time to decide, he should consider giving away the Finance and Home ministry to others.

We know being a PM is tough, why burden him with more duties than he can perform. Please do not forget his age.

I think marking ballot paper with a pencil, is crude and is suspect to misuse, my wife said, your votes are all gone, rain water has erased it, yes it was raining when I voted.

Can Rashid help by telling the people how to avoid the mistakes. After all, you don’t just take the trouble to go all the way, and mark the paper wrongly, unless of an unsound mind.

People should read the Constitution. It is not too late to make it a school subject.

Meanwhile, senior constitutional lawyer and former UN special rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers Param Cumaraswamy said that the Selangor sultan has no constitutional power to call for the deputy mentri besar to be a Malay.

“With respect, his highness should not be seen reading into the Constitution what is not there,” he said in a statement today.

He added that while the Selangor state constitution provided for the appointment of deputy mentri besar by the sultan, yet such appointment was actually to be made on the advice of the mentri besar from among the members of the state executive council.

He said that after appointing the mentri besar, the sultan would then appoint not more than 10 from the state assembly, on the advice of the menteri besar, to the state executive council.

The multi-billion ringgit Penang Global City Centre (PGCC) project cannot proceed because it has yet to be approved by local government agencies, despite having been announced with great fanfare last year.

The multi-billion ringgit Penang Global City Centre (PGCC) project cannot proceed because it has yet to be approved by local government agencies, despite having been announced with great fanfare last year.

The developer had sent Guan Eng a bouquet yesterday, perked up with small DAP flags. It was the first to arrive at the CM’s office to congratulate Guan Eng on his “historic win” in the elections, according to the card attached.

The businessman – dubbed ‘Patrick Badawi’ by ex-premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad due to his influence over top politicians – has denied the claim.

Penang-born Patrick, 42, also brushed off suggestions that the PGCC project is a ‘sweetheart deal’ for him and that the premier’s son, Kamaludin, is a shareholder in Abad Naluri.
