He has been I believe with the Government for a long time, experienced, vilified by Samy, made to do hard work, never recognised, a man out to help the Indians, but with no evidence to show his culpability and a lot of empty words, I am what I am, a man out to do wonders for my community but the devil makes it impossible. He is too powerful, anything I say is brushed off by this devil, he bounces on me when I say Indians but still I am an Indian supporter. This is a beautiful outline for a story but sorry to say the hero in real life is far from it. He is hallucinated by outside interference.
Please read this and this.
The true colours of Subra has been exposed by what I read in Malaysiakini.

Subra will not contest in Sg Siput

RK Anand | Feb 23, 08 3:19pm

Former MIC deputy president S Subramaniam will not be contesting against his ex-boss S Samy Vellu in the Sungai Siput parliamentary seat.

A source confirmed this when asked to comment on a front-page report published by Tamil daily Makkal Osai today.

subramaniam interview 141005 explainingThe daily – which is linked to Subramaniam – raised the possibility of a showdown between the two veterans.

The source revealed that Subramaniam was approached by an opposition party soon after MIC unveiled its candidates list on Wednesday.

“The party offered him to contest in Sungai Siput under its banner,” he said, but declined to name the party.

It is learnt that some of Subramaniam’s supporters wanted him to accept it in order to put a closure to the protracted feud with Samy Vellu.

The supporters felt that the current political climate can be favourable to Subramaniam and he may a stand a good chance of winning the seat which has been in the hands of the MIC president since 1974.

Remain loyal to BN

According to the source, Subramiam turned down the offer because he did not want to against Barisan Nasional (BN).

“He wants to always remain loyal to BN,” he said.

It is learnt that Subramaniam would be in Kepala Batas tomorrow where Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi would be filing his nomination papers for the Penang parliamentary seat.

Subramaniam – a former MP and deputy minister – was dropped from the MIC election lineup by Samy Vellu in the 1999 polls.

In the 2006 party elections, he was defeated by G Palanivel for the number two post. Palanivel was Samy Vellu’s preferred candidate.

Over the recent weeks, there was speculation that Subramaniam could be given a seat for the March 8 polls.

Since the Nov 25 rally organised by the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf), there is concern that the once loyal community might turn its back on BN in the coming polls.

MIC and its president have also come under tremendous pressure to deliver the votes.

In Sungai Siput, Samy Vellu will be facing Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) leader Dr D Jayakumar in a straight fight.

Jayakumar will be contesting under the PKR banner since PSM is not a registered party.

If he had said, I can’t contest with him because he is my former boss and Indians as a rule don’t kill former bosses, or he is a powerful opponent I don’t have the charisma to fight him, or Samy is too powerful, or I don’t know the Sungei Siput people that enough, I would have appreciated him as a leader out to make amends. But giving a stupid lame excuse my loyalty is with the BN, makes me wonder whether Subra after a cosy dinner made his source say so, or for effect he himself made the statement. How do we trust a gentleman who is affected by cosy dinners. My advice to him resist cosy dinners, in a political world your deeds are seen and measured.
But that is not bad enough, he is with Badawi, he wants to show he is a strong supporter of BN and I won’t be surprised if he makes an impromptu speech, I am BN and BN is me, forgetting MIC is part of BN and this same MIC put him in the doldrums, please-lah they never gave me a seat to contest.

He is a hypocrite, he is hoping against hope Badawi will make him a senator. Being a senator you just won’t do much for Indians  as evidenced by your record of 27 years.
I feel sorry for his supporters. He is a wimp with no guts and he is misleading his followers and Indians. Sigh.

This is what Malaysiakini says:

“Subra: I did not start HindrafRK Anand | Jan 7, 08 6:29pm

Former MIC deputy president S Subramaniam has denied the accusation that he created the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) movement.”

What an uncanny thing to say. Datuk Samy Vellu, for all his brilliance, can he put Subra on the pedestal and give him credit. Using my “the way English is spoken in India” permit me to say “Ths the fust time I hear Subra speak thus. Subra and Hindraf? I thinking Samy pissed on him and shook it as well.
