Umno Supreme Council On A Two-day Retreat To Chart Party Future :: Bernama.com

SHAH ALAM, June 5 (Bernama) — Umno Supreme Council members gathered here for a two-day retreat starting Thursday to chart the party’s future and formulate strategies to regain the people’s support towards Umno, the backbone of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
The retreat, which took place at a hotel here and attended by all 52 members of the party’s highest policy-making body, would also discuss Umno’s performance in the March 8 general election.

Fat hope UMNO members and the people are going to support the party, which is claimed as the backbone of the Barisan Nasional government. That backbone is brittle after the oil price hike, and even the UMNO members, excluding the fat cows who still lead the party: they have other means of overcoming the increase in prices. The price increase hits every person including the party members, and the brittle backbone is going to crack very soon and turn crooked. In the last elections it is estimated that 50% of the Malays and Chinese, 80% of the Indians voted for the opposition, and today an ordinary man in the street must be crazy to vote UMNO or any of the coalition parties.

The people can understand if the oil hike is inevitable as world prices of oil has gone up. But we are blessed with oil and Petronas dollars and the robbers have taken it away from the people. If it is the wild west all these people will be lynched. But what do we do with polite robbers who grab your money with a smile and talk about tightening belts and changing your life style. The people are just fed up and bursting with anger wondering what life will be with the coming onslaught of profit takers increasing price on  every consumable item.

Look at the way they spend our money:

1. RM 100 million on renovation of Parliament building and leaks thereafter;
2. National Astronaut Programme – RM 40 million;
3. National Service Training Programme – yearly an estimate of RM 500 million;
4. Eye on Malaysia -RM 30 million and another RM5.7 million of free ticket
5. RM 4.6 billion, ’soft-loan’ to PKFZ
6. RM 2.4 million of indelible ink

This does not include the Monsoon Cup, F1 racing, Philharmonic Orchestra and many more.

Compare oil prices with other oil producing countries:

UAE– RM1.19/litre
Egypt– RM1.03/litre
Bahrain– RM0.87/litre
Qatar– RM0.68/litre
Kuwait– RM0.67/litre
Saudi Arabia– RM0.38/litre
Iran– RM0.35/litre
Nigeria– RM0.32/litre
Turkmenistan– RM0.25/litre
Venezuela– RM0.16/litre
MALAYSIA– RM2.70/litre

Can you imagine how Mahathir, Badawi and all the other UMNO robbers have been taking the peoples money all these years, in addition to high taxes for use of car and the exorbitant costs of new cars.

It can only be a dream that UMNO can regain its glory, it is as good as Gerakan, MIC and PPP, who also dream. Dream on.
