What are they grumbling about – if it is safety alone, please Zainal, you and your staff may find it worthwhile to do some traffic directing, simple as that.

Cheras-Kajang Highway operator Grand Saga Sdn Bhd has today warned that it may re-erect the disputed Bandar Mahkota Cheras (BMC) barricade out of ‘safety concerns’.

In a statement today, Grand Saga business development and corporate affairs executive director Zainal Abidin Ali said traffic had become chaotic following the “illegal” removal of the barricade last week by BMC residents.

“It is obvious that the illegal opening of the road has not met the safety requirements set by the relevant authorities such as traffic lights, safety signages, etc,” he said.

Zainal Abidin said that the situation endangers motorist not only from BMC and surrounding townships and that Grand Saga was responsible in maintaining the safety of its road users.
