I give credit to Kayveas who still wants to be in Government. His Part lost all. What is wrong if his 587,000 members show support for Barisan Nasional and make Badawi and UMNO happy.

Will Badawi consider a back door approach of making him a senator, after all there are not enough Indians in the ruling BN.

PPP Calls Emergency Assembly At PWTC Thursday

KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 (Bernama) — The PPP has called for an emergency assembly at Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre, here Thursday to show support for the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his deputy, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Its president, Datuk M. Kayveas, said the party had 587,000 members and “we will all gather tomorrow here to express support to the prime minister, deputy prime minister and Barisan Nasional (BN).”

He told reporters this during a break of the PPP Supreme Council meeting that began at 2pm here today.

He said even though the BN recorded the worst history in Saturday’s general election when it lost four states — Penang, Selangor, Perak and Kedah — and Kelantan remained in the hands of the opposition, he was sure that with work hard and solid grassroot support from all component parties, the BN would be able recapture all the states.
