Nor Mohamed won. You are a finance man and know nuts about transportation and its problems. Yes, you promised the service, but, please or please, go back ask the relevant authorities to study the proposal and then decide, it may also include bus services to other towns besides Tasek Gelugor.
The last administration did that, implementing policies without consultation and the chaos created is still fresh in the minds of the people. Your handing over gifts at random must stop. This is one of the failures of the old administration.
Nor Mohamed: I will keep promises

GEORGE TOWN: Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop clinched his first term as a member of parliament when he defeated Pas candidate Ismail Salleh.

Nor Mohamed was the only other BN parliamentary candidate in the state to win after Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had retained his Kepala Batas seat.

The second finance minister won the Tasek Gelugor parliamentary seat with a majority of 4,457 votes after securing 20,448 votes. Ismail obtained 15,901 votes.

A total of 36,349 voters, or 87.98 per cent, cast their votes.

Nor Mohamed thanked the Tasek Gelugor voters for giving him the chance to serve them.

He attributed his victory to the hard work put in by the Tasek Gelugor election machinery, led by former MP Datuk Seri Mohd Shariff Omar.

Nor Mohamed said it was now time to fulfil all the promises that were made to the Tasek Gelugor people.

“For a start, the RapidPenang bus will begin its service in Tasek Gelugor as promised during the campaign,”
