KUANTAN, March 2 (Bernama) — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Saturday night the Felda community should be grateful and thankful to the Barian Nasional (BN) government for having strived to modernise all land schemes in the country.

He said that much change for the better has been brought to the Felda schemes, from the time the schemes were launched by his late father, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, till now.

“Who has brought the change if not the BN government. What other way is there to be appreciative of and thankful to those who have served us well than to continue to support the BN government,” he said at the launch of the Dewan Semai Bakti of Felda Sungai Panching Selatan, here.

Najib said the struggle of the BN would continue as long as the people continued to support the government and that there was much more to be done for the Felda schemes.

Let me tell you a story. A widowed and old man married a beautiful wife. She was a real beauty. The man loaded her with gifts, jewelery, car, house and all she had to do was ask.The man thought his wife was happy. But the girl wanted excitement, night life and young company which this withered old man could not provide.

He realised the restlessness of the girl and started telling her, you must be thankful, grateful, show gratitude, never forget the good things I have done for you and so forth. Every time the girl was reminded she was annoyed and wished for the day she will be unfaithful to the husband.

This story exemplifies what Santa Claus Razak has done for Felda, Now he is getting worried, whether they may be ungrateful.
