All of us know that the Police are there to protect the safety of the citizens, and the present claim by our new Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein to increase the force by 60,000 members, may sound logical, not to forget the 60,000 wataniah in 5 years time as announced by Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. So, more and more security personnel. But, why the heck does crime increase in Malaysia. Very simple the Police don’t do their job. Increase members and bloat up the population when crime-fighting goes to the dogs.

Ministry To Ensure Implementation Of Police Five-year Plan

BENTONG, April 16 (Bernama) — The Home Ministry will ensure the smooth implementation of the Royal Malaysia Police’s five-year plan, especially in terms of recruitment, Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said.

He said that the plan to increase the number of personnel by 60,000, however, would not be met if effort was not supported by sufficient infrastructure.

"This is important to ensure that their welfare is taken care of so that they can concentrate on discharging their duties," he told reporters after attending the ground-breaking ceremony for the Public Order Training Centre by the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, in Pelangai near here Thursday.

Hishammuddin also said that it was important to continue with the construction of police infrastructure, especially training centres, despite the global economic slowdown.

He said the government would not compromise on the issue of the country’s security, peace and order.

Whatever Samy Vellu says must be taken with a pinch of salt. I just can’t imagine a leader, who can twist and turn, any issue, claiming that this is done for the Indians. He has taken for a ride the Indians for the last 30 years, starting from the year 1979, surely he can give the Indians some repose, the Indians can and will take care of themselves. No Samy won’t do that, his ego is beyond accepting that he has done zilch for the Indians. He might have helped individuals, like Chitrakala, the defeated candidate Ganesan in Bukit Selambau, but these are peanuts compared to what help he got in the way trying to champion the Indian cause. Being the sole Indian representative, what the Government gave was channeled through him, and being a typical Indian lover, he soiled his hands and grabbed the icing and by the time it got to the roots every other fellow under him has partaken a bit of the cake. Crumbs were of course left. One has to just recollect the ordeal of the land for the Effingham Tamil School. There are others, and simply put one gets depressed trying to name his unholy actions against the Indians.

Anyhow back to the point, today he is talking of a portal on May 14, that is a month from now, a portal to interact with others. This is not the first time he wants to go hi-tech. At one stage he wanted a build a separate extension to the present MIC building and it was going to be the brains for people’s support and complaints. That came to nought. I searched my postings on the sayings of Samy Vellu, and game across this one. http://aarvidi.wordpress.com/2008/05/25/samy-the-computer-man/
Have a laugh. Samy the IT man, who uses the computer like he uses the Indians.

Any how the MIC web page is still under construction for how long, God only knows.

Guiltily, I ask myself can anything good come out from Samy Vellu, besides his shooting off the cuff without being worried; others can think, and don’t fall under the category of his 630,000 MIC members who sorry to say, have been hit again and again and are now immune to what Samy does.

They are the one the Indians must help, and I can say, these abused people must get a lot of help before their parade as ordinary citizens.

No Intention To Withdraw MIC Minister From Cabinet – Samy Vellu
He also said that the party would launch a portal on May 14 to enable the people, both from among supporters of the party and those from the opposition, to interact with the party on issues.

It is good that our Inspector General Of Police is concerned of public order, and the people are happy of his assurance. But what about the news of  Utusan Malaysia two days back, which blatantly upped the uneasiness of the people by headlining  “Bangkitlah Melayu”. Even our beloved Prime Minister, Najib had no say about the sensational headline, which does not contribute to 1Malaysia. So IGP, are you going to act against the Utusan Malaysia. Be fair and don’t have double standards.

IGP Warns Against Making Seditious Remarks

KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 (Bernama) — The police will not compromise with any group that goes against the law by creating upheaval or issuing statements which can disrupt public order.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said the statement could cause confusion and threaten national security and public order.
He was commenting on a Harakah Daily report quoting PAS secretary-general Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar as saying that Malaysians would resort to street demonstrations like the red shirted protestors in Pattaya if the Perak State Assembly was not dissolved.
"The police will come down hard on those who make such remarks. They are deemed seditious.
"We will investigate those who had made and written such remarks. We have to check on the matter before taking any action," Musa said when contacted tonight.

Do you believe this compulsive liar. If he had known the Government was not listening, what did he do – still waited for crumbs to fall down which he deliciously swallowed. He had no good qualities, to be a leade,r but with tough-handed policies bulldozed all the members (630,000) and made them suckers. Anyhow the MIC fools deserve it, but what about the Indian not affiliated with the party.

Mahathir said Samy never raised questions on the plight of Indians, and now with the recordings, he has in his possession, tell us what he did. Is he frightened he will be bundled out under ISA.

What a liar.

Samy: MIC to remain in Najib’s cabinet

RK Anand | Apr 16, 09 1:16pm
Samy Vellu was also asked if MIC had been sidelined and the current scenario was a reflection of the party not having any clout in the ruling coalition.
Denying that the party had lost its influence, the MIC president was confident that his party could survive even “for the next 100 years” if it was sidelined.
“We have the strength to do this,” he said, adding that MIC’s only concern was the woes faced by the Indian community in Malaysia.
According to Samy Vellu, the government had dragged its feet in responding to the issues raised, as a result of which the community had turned its back on the ruling coalition.
“I was in the cabinet for 29 years. I dare say that I was the longest serving minister in the world.
“But whenever I brought up issues (concerning the community), the response (from the government) was slow and we lost their support,” he said, expressing hope that things would be different under the new leadership.
