clipped from www.nst.com.my A senator has proposed that all cabinet ministers resign en bloc to enable incoming prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to choose his own cabinet. Senator Datuk Akbar Ali said this did not mean that he had lost his confidence in outgoing prime minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi but to pave the way for the formation of a new cabinet. “I hope new cabinet ministers will have the criteria listed by Datuk Seri Najib — loyal, of high integrity, competent and dedicated. I hope he will inject a new confidence,” said Akbar when debating the royal address at the Dewan Negara today. Senator Ahamat @ Ahamad Yusop said he hoped the new cabinet would be more creative in solving the economic crisis and bring the country out of the doldrums.
