I cannot absolve you from blame in the case of Altantuya, though earlier I have said you are not involved, because I am speaking to party members now.

Altantuya allegations ‘will not affect handover’

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi dismissed suggestions that the allegations faced by his deputy Najib Razak involving murdered Mongolian Altantuya will affected the handover in two years time.

“I think that is separate. This is a decision at a party level,” said Abdullah at a packed press conference today.

You don’t have to be a diplomat to understand what Najib said. Basically he says, if you can’t beat him join him.

All these time Najib was not sure that Badawi had the confidence in him, it is only today the PM said he has confidence in me. The liar.

It is a orderly and neat power transition, it will go down in the Guinnes Book of Record as the longest period for transferring power.

Badawi did not understand public opinion, they wanted him immediately, but the Right Honourable feels otherwise. Sigh, I have to look for another job.

Abdullah To Handover Umno President’s Post To Najib In Mid 2010

Malaysiakini has this on recruitment and promotion of civil servants in Kelantan.

PAS struck raw nerves yet again as its vice-president Husam Musa’s latest proposal was blasted by a MCA leader for being utterly insensitive towards the feelings of non-Muslims.

In Berita Harian today, Husam was quoted as saying prayers and religious practices would be factors of consideration when weighing promotions for civil servants in Kelantan.
The PAS leader also said that the recruitment of non-Muslims for the civil service will follow this rule too, according to the Malay language daily.

I feel sorry for the civil servants in Kelantan. They are duped to believe that only ulamaks or religious leaders are the only ones to get appointment and promotion and not your own credentials or ability. How does your head of department or the person who appoints you or the one who promotes you, know how good a Muslim you are. Do they see the type of clothes you wear, the way you exchange greetings, your quoting of the Koran for every question, and finally before leaving shake the hands of the person and say ‘I have done my best, if God wants me to be appointed or promoted, you can’t possibly stop it’. You may not be a religious scholar, but you have confidence in God, who will help you and not the chap who interviewed you. Who is important God or the interviewer.

Finally you can be a good Muslim for the world to see. But for God it is not what you pretend to be, but your action, deeds, thoughts and closeness to God. Outwardly you may not look like a good Muslim, but God knows you are nearer to him. It is between you and God.

This was the most commendable action he has taken over the years he has been a Minister.

As the debate raged on today, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz met with Parliament chief administrator Kamaruddin Baria to discuss the matter.
After the meeting, he announced that all security personnel in Parliament would be told that the issue of dress code was none of their business.
“As long as you are decently dressed, it’s alright. It’s not up to the (security) officers to decide what is decent or what is indecent. Their job is to ensure security – that’s it,” said Nazri at a press conference.
parliament dress code issue 100708 01He said that so long as journalists and other visitors are not “wearing underwear and undershirt”, they should be allowed into Parliament.
Nazri added that action would only be taken if MPs or members of the public have written in to complain about “indecent dressing”.
The minister also said there should not be any double standards between MPs and non-MPs.

Our Prime Minister, labelled as flip-flop, sleeping on duty, indecisive, lack of leadership, and other names very detrimental for a leader of the country, has still got a trick or two under his sleeve, to continue his present position. Remember he reminded the people in his first term as Prime Minister, that he is not a one term PM.

If he had been sincere that Najib should take over from him, he would have done so after the dismal failure of UMNO in the 12 GE. Then you can have the healthy respect that we reserve for leaders who value country more than their personal greed, and his name would have been recorded in history as a worthy Prime Minister in the line of the Tengku, and Hussein Onn.

But Badawi has seen the treasure in Ali Baba’s cave that becomes the personal property of a PM in Malaysia, result he is greedy, and I don’t blame him, in all his tenure as a Minister he was side tracked and wealth did not come his way. So, he has got to decide if it is the country or personal glory and satisfaction.

As far as he is concerned, he is not going to hand over the premiership to anybody, either he is booted out or dies in office. The power behind the premiership is too great and he does not want to share the power.

He will remain as PM until GE 13, where by people’s choice UMNO will disintegrate, and he will give in. Until then he wants to enjoy what he can.

The country and people will continue to suffer.

I am surprised that Bukit Aman CID chief Mohd Bakri Zinin is assuming a mysterious  cloak and dagger attitude towards the whereabouts of PI Balasubramaniam. The more he hides the information, the more people speculate and I think it is not wrong for them to assume the Police have a hand in the disappearance and subsequent discovery of his whereabouts.

There is no person or a group that has the means to make a family of 5 disappear just like that, except the Police. However much the CID chief may say that his department is not involved, and the Home Minister treats the disappearance as a matter of a trivial nature, the matter does not just go away. Now with the latest telephone conversation from PI Bala himself telling his nephew R.Kumaresan, not to continue the safe return campaign as this may endanger him and his family – all these point to intrigue and suspicion which only the Police can throw light on. The more they deny, the suspicion becomes worst.
