The Malaysian people are at a state of delirium, what with the onslaught of scandals, served in the newspapers and on line sources. Have not the people have enough problems caused by high gasoline prices and costlier food and consumables. Rosmas, Najibs, Badawis, Anwars, Saifuls and the host of people make the people wonder and speculate, what lies ahead. And for all intends and purposes these people need not worry the roti chanai is now RM1.20 when it was only Rm0.80 sen earlier. They have the means and this difference in prices is chicken feed.

The IGP is rotten, the Attorney General a fraud, we hear, and these are the people who must see the weak is defended, and every person under the law is equal. How on earth can anyone go into a Police station and not wonder, is my report good to be acted on or someone can turn and twist my report and eventually I may be the victim and not the real person I reported about.

The rot set in 2003, when a clean Prime Minister took over. The people were taken for a ride, this Mr Clean had lots of dirt in his back which the people could not see. As days progressed, this image was a facade with his family being helped, money handed over in silver platters, and Mr Clean maintaining the posture he still remains clean. The biggest mistake the people made was not taking Mr Clean as another person then wait to see his deeds before garlanding him as Mr Clean. The people have been trapped.

Further days went by, APs, tolls, mega projects, corridors, luxurious jet for personal use, fuel increase, Petronas profits, and more, putting the people to wonder whether we are going in the right direction. But we tagged along hoping something good will come out.

I am afraid it is getting worst and worst, what with the scandals, UMNO elections, the competition between Badawi, Najib, Razaleigh and Muhyideen, and it is only after December this year will the leaders act to satisfy the hopes of the people, meanwhile paying lip service and all the while worried about what they will be in a few months to come.

So, it is good news the announcement, that whatever happens, a new Government will take over by September 16 or Malaysia Day. If this happens, all the old packages can be discarded, take action to prove law and order,  and make Malaysia a better place to live in.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 – Despite its de facto leader facing new sodomy claims, the opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition is confident it can oust Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s government by September 16 or Malaysia Day.

Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been courting defectors from Abdullah’s Barisan Nasional in a bid to seize power for a historic first time but a second sodomy charge in a decade is a hiccup to his plans.

“Well, optimistically, I think we can keep to the deadline,” said Parliamentary Opposition leader Datin Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is Anwar’s wife and president of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat leading the Pakatan Rakyat coalition.

“The expectations are very high from the people,” she told the Reuters in an interview this evening.

Malaysiakini reports in its version of Bahasa Melayu that Mohd Yahya Mat Sahri has a prima facie to answer in collecting money for the 100 day celebration of Pakatan Rakyat, illegally. This has been confirmed by Ja’afar Mahad of the ACA.

In addition, the garbage collection services were given out using the same modus operandi.

Khalid, this is your opportunity to prove to the people, that you are an action orientated Menteri Besar and will not brook any form of corruption. You will be repaying the voters who voted you in, and you may be not aware that there is a lot of grumbling going on  that the election promises have not been carried out or in some cases watered down. A corrupt action is still the same even if committed by another PKR man.

With carrying out action, your hand will be strengthened, and once the officers know even party connections will bring in no consideration, everybody will be on their toes. Look at the local councils, how much waste is taking place. Only today I saw an luxurious 4 wheeler belonging to MPSJ Subang being used and wondered whether it was in line of duty. The time was after office hours.

You will be setting a fine example of accountability and transparency, which even the ruling Government does not do.

Malaysiakini reports that MCA youth leader Liow Tiong Lai blames the arrogance of UMNO that caused the downfall of the Chinese party in the March 8 elections. How easy is it to blame others for your failure.

He admits MCA was blamed for being weak, not standing up to UMNO.
Is this the reason or, MCA felt the Chinese won’t push them away. MCA was confident the Chinese people will back them no matter what, and arising of this super duper confidence, they did nothing to gain the confidence of the people and eventually lost the election. It is simple as that.

Come MCA be honest even in times of failure and you may gain the confidence of the people again. Your blame game will not go well with the Chinese.
