Hobson’s choice — meaning, no choice at all.Read carefully Najib’s statement, which says there wont be fuel price hike after March 8, correct, correct, correct, but if this happens after April 8, correct, correct, correct, he will say the promise was for after March 8 not April 8.
Government announcements are bandied about to get voters, but whether they will be fulfilled, the people face a Hobson’s choice.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 (Bernama) — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today dismissed assumptions of a hike in fuel price after the March 8 general election.

“No, it doesn’t necessarily mean price hike,” he said when asked if there would be a rise in fuel price after the polls following the increase in fuel subsidies paid by the Government last year.
