Thank you Prime Minister for the assurance, it is appreciated. Then how come the Indians were marginalised for this long. I have my doubts whether MIC ever brought to your attention the problems. The 7 issues excuse is evident enough the MIC did not do so.So Prime Minister is there anything wrong in the Indian community trying to kick the butt of all MIC leaders including Samy Vellu, who will get the biggest kick. What can Indians do?
So all is fair and square. Thank you Prime Minister.

BN Govt Can Easily Solve Problems Of Any Race, Says Abdullah

BIDOR, Feb 9 (Bernama) — The Barisan Nasional (BN) government can easily solve problems of the multiracial populace of the country as the BN is a party for all races, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said today.
He said the government governing the nation was a multiracial coalition government that constantly worked to maintain racial harmony, peace, prosperity and safety of the people.
“The BN government functions on the basis of consultation and consensus. This is a multiracial, united and collaborative coalition government,” he said when addressing a farmers’ gathering at Kampung Baru Coldstream, near here.

For all the noise he made in Parliament, he appears quite as a church mouse. He knows what corruption is as he was involved with it earlier. Please people, understand that there is one law for UMNO when it comes to corruption and the civil law for others.

Is Badawi keeping him this time around. He was not a law Minister but a law breaker. Let’s see whether the God willed grace afforded to Badawi, will make him change Nazri failing which he is answerable to God.

Footnote
In response to the many allegations of bribery within UMNO, Supreme Council member and de-facto law Minister Nazri Aziz said the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) has no powers to initiate investigations on reports and charges of money politics and bribery within the party.

According to him, offending party members are only answerable to the party’s disciplinary board

This is from the Arabian Night Story. It is fiction but in Malaysia it can become a realty if the authorities don’t check and regulate the foreign population we may have a situation thus.

Read my post Aseanbangla.

A Straits Times report reads :

The Camel’s Nose In The Tent.

One cold night, as an Arab sat in his tent, a camel gently thrust his nose under the flap and looked in. “Master,” he said, “let me put my nose in your tent. It’s cold and stormy out here.” “By all means,” said the Arab, “and welcome” as he turned over and went to sleep.

imageA little later the Arab awoke to find that the camel had not only put his nose in the tent but his head and neck also. The camel, who had been turning his head from side to side, said, “I will take but little more room if I place my forelegs within the tent. It is difficult standing out here.” “Yes, you may put your forelegs within,” said the Arab, moving a little to make room, for the tent was small.

Finally, the camel said, “May I not stand wholly inside? I keep the tent open by standing as I do.” “Yes, yes,” said the Arab. “Come wholly inside. Perhaps it will be better for both of us.” So the camel crowded in. The Arab with difficulty in the crowded quarters again went to sleep. When he woke up the next time, he was outside in the cold and the camel had the tent to himself.

Gimme gimme Taiping, says Kayveas, and his boss Badawi says it is God’s will and I work very hard. The first a child holding tight his teddy bear and bawls don’t take it away. The second another child a bit more older, calls on the Gods why me God I work very hard.

Dear voters please give them some sweets.

KUALA LUMPUR: People’s Progressive Party president Datuk M. Kayveas believes he should be retained to contest in the Taiping parliamentary seat.

“I think I should be there. I don’t see why I should go to another seat,” he said, adding that he even expected to obtain a higher majority this time after all the work he had done.

Kayveas defeated DAP’s Ong Chee Keng and Parti Keadilan Nasional’s P. Annah Dorai in the 2004 general election.

Taiping used to be a Gerakan seat. It was given to PPP in an exchange that saw Umno giving the Bukit Gantang seat to Gerakan.

Kayveas said the PPP, which has four parliamentary seats and one state seat, could handle contesting an additional three parliamentary and 11 state seats in the coming election.

Dr L.Krishnan is a very wise man. He has read the prevailing political climate well, may be too well, and now  graciously is stepping down. What about the other 18 state candidates of MIC. This is a crucial time for decision. Are you in or out. Your decision will affect your standing in the Indian community after voters cast their vote.

At 60 the Doctor feels old, whereas Karna or Karnan at 73 feels like a teenager. The Doctor should get some advise from Samy Vellu.

Rumours has it Komala and Devamany are out. What is the latest?

“I am already 60 and it is time to give way to younger leaders,” said the father of three.

“I am also giving way as I wish to pursue my studies in family medicine.”

Dr Krishnan first contested and won the Telok Kemang parliamentary seat in 1995.

He did not contest in 1999 but made a comeback in 2004 when he defeated S. Rajagopal from Parti Keadilan Rakyat with a 4,102 majority to win in Jeram Padang.

Quote: “If there is NO sufficient Chinese representation in the Barisan Nasional, it is not a good thing, the Chinese community cannot afford another May 13 incident.”
-Chew Mei Fun

At 43 years of age, my sympathies go to this woman. She has no time for love and this is understandable. She is alarmed that having a husband and family is not right now as her energies are directed towards having sufficient Chinese representation in Barisan Nasional and her worst fears being what if May 13 returns.

She may consider love after the elections is over and if there are enough Chinese representatives in Government. Otherwise she prefers being an old maid.

Ong Kah Thim has decided that she must be the sacrificial goat, by announcing her candidacy especially against an uprising dynamic new DAP man. Chew will be one less Chinese representative, and this alone would not allow love to bloom.

At any rate at 43 you are not a spring chicken, and with the inherent fear of May 13, it is not wrong to assume she is going to spend a long frustrated lonely life.

Who is to stop her in her determination.

UALA LUMPUR: Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun is too busy to think about love.

“I want to concentrate on my career. Now is not the right time to think about love,” said the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry parliamentary secretary and Wanita MCA deputy chief.

But how does her stand on love tally with the MCA Cupid Club’s purpose of helping singles find their future partner?

Chew, the former chairman of the club, said marriage was a choice.

“It is something very personal and I respect the individual’s view and what they want.

“We provide the Cupid service as a community service when people need it. Likewise, for me it is my own choice in life to marry or not,” Chew said at the MCA Chinese New Year open house on Thursday.

On whether she would defend her seat, Chew replied:

“I think so, because my president already openly announced that he would strongly recommend me,” she added.

Chew also said she was well prepared for the elections.
