Yes, I had a good laugh reading this. If the projects had been rehabilitated then why are their sick. My understanding of rehabilitation is, at least, by the dictionary “ to restore to a condition of good health, ability to work, or the like. Please Hisham, could you explain further.
Chief Secretary To Visit Rehabilitated “Sick” Projects
PETALING JAYA, Jan 22 (Bernama) — Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the ministry has invited Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan to visit two of the 248 rehabilitated “sick” projects.
He said the ministry wanted a third party to evaluate its efforts to rehabilitate Eighth Malaysia Plan (8MP) projects categorised as “sick”.
One of the projects was a school laboratory and the other a teachers’ quarters which had been completed but could not be occupied due to a landslide.
“The Chief Secretary to the Government has agreed to visit the two schools on March 2,” he told reporters after launching a career workshop for secondary schools organised by the CIMB Group at Sri Aman Girls’ Secondary School here today.
Earlier, Hishammuddin said that career guidance was much needed in schools and applauded the CIMB Group’s effort in launching the initiative and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
“In this highly competitive era, we can no longer place everything on the shoulders of the government.
“CSR is a growing trend for us to take responsibility of our own future, and one of the most important fields CSR can cover is education,” he said.
He said the private sector was more equipped to provide career guidance for students as it understood market needs better.
Also present were Deputy Education Minister Datuk Noh Omar, Deputy Tourism Minister Datuk Donald Lim and CIMB Group chief executive Datuk Nazir Razak.
