I will continue from where I left off yesterday. Dato’ Dr Ma’mor Osman, the President or Secretary of The Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia, besides the banning of Coco-Cola in this country, also went ahead to dabble in politics way back in 2005. He is reported to have said that Keng Yeik the then Gerakan President must resign because the Doctor made some comments on the NEP. My, my, Dr Ma’mor is a classical example of a man devoted not only to the consumer problems but political problems as well. When I first read this in the year 2005 it did not strike me as unusual, because I thought the Dr Ma’mor had reasons to do so. But today, I am more enlightened and would like to question him on his motive to make a Police report against Jeff Ooi. His appearance on TV was a side show to the 10-Eleven rally and with all sincerity Dr Ma’mon should have initiated complaints against the rally group. Is it because he felt threatened by the 50,000 or 130,000 or whatever group there was. Why are you picking on Jeff Ooi who was making a statement of fact. Dato’ are you worried about the huge crowd or is it your contention that as a single person he is vulnerable. I think you are barking up the wrong tree. Jeff Ooi has a dedicated following of people in the blogging community and you are facing the might of this group. Maybe small in number but very boisterous and supportive. Maybe you should have elected for the crowd. We are waiting for further development.
The second group is of course the Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress or KIMMA. An interesting article appears in M2today. This is a political party for the Malaysian Indian Muslims. Another article is also here.
The third group is a bit anonymous. I could not get anything much on this group.
It maybe not be coincidental, but all these three organisations have something in common and point to a Minister who did NOT do well in another AlJazeera interview and who has been criticised. Of course this Minister will not be implicated in any way but suspicions cannot be wished away just like that.
Fellow bloggers, it is my wish that the bloggers group initiate positive action against the Police reports on Jeff Ooi and Raja Petra. The first thing that comes to my mind is a blog exclusively to keep up to date on recent developments and then all of us bloggers can contribute and share. I have seen many posts in different blog sides, relevant to the Police report. There are many senior bloggers around, and I would appreciate their comments, if there is. Most of all I stand with Jeff Ooi and Raja Petra and they have been a tremendous influence on why I started blogging. I hope and pray everything turns out well and these Police reports will fizzle out into oblivion.
